Admissions

Mrs Starnes, the Headteacher, is very willing to show any prospective parents around the school. This is best done when the children are present and it is important to make an appointment by telephoning the school on 01933 675430.

The school has a Nursery 2 Unit which can admit 52 part time pupils. The school can admit 90 pupils in all other year groups. The Nursery 1 unit can offer funded 2 year old places for up to 16 children.  Nursery 1 and Nursery 2 admissions are handled by the school.  Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 admissions are dealt with by the Local Authority, applications must be made online:  http://www3.northamptonshire.gov.uk/councilservices/children-families-education/schools-and-education/school-admissions/primary-school-places/Pages/default.aspx.

Children are given Nursery places strictly in order of application, and every attempt is made to concur with the parents choice of a morning or afternoon place. Parents are informed that their child has a nursery place in March prior to the September admission.

Children are normally registered for the Nursery Unit in the September following their first birthday. It is helpful that you visit the school to register your child so that procedures may be explained.

Parents may enter their child on the Nursery waiting list, stating a preference for morning or afternoon attendance if they wish, by completing the appropriate form. There is no specific catchment area for Nursery children.

Children are admitted to the Nursery in the school year in which they will have their fourth birthday.

Children are normally offered places in the school in the March prior to the September after their fourth birthday (i.e. the March of the school year in which they are four) and so all registrations should be made by January of that year. The parents of pupils to be transferred between schools make individual arrangements with the head teacher.
